Woman in the Dunes - Hiroshi Teshigahara
Seppuku/Harakiri -Masaki Kobayashi

Limey - Stephen Sodenberg
Bottle Rockets and Rushmore - Wes Anderson
Anybody want to contribute?

Yeah, I forgot THE THING. (The 1980's version).
I just saw High Sierra lately, and that was really good too.
And don't forget Attack of the Killer Tomatoes. (Sorry, I couldn't resist!)
Did you know George Clooney's first film part was in Killer Tomatoes 2?

Hey, that's not true. Monty Python and the Holy Grail is European. (Or is it an African Swallow?)
To the point, however. All of the films you mention, Basstrunc, are great films. As a matter of fact, I watched them in film school. But I guess my list has more to do with movies I'd want with me if I was stranded on a deserted island.
